I can't see any information on the security page of my router.

I only noticed today as I was trying to figure out what's causing wifi slowdowns.

(i say router, but it's being used as an access point. nothing particularly heavy, either.)

the hardware in question is a belkin n750DB, with 1-2 clients at any given time. navigating to the IP address allows me to log in to the router just fine. clicking through all the other pages works fine. going to the security page causes only the page heading to display, and none of the actual security details. (so I can't change the wifi security settings, passphrase, etc) the frame is simply blank.

How do I fix this?

i've reboot it several times hoping that would solve the problem, it didn't.

the version is f9k1103v1 (taken from bottom of router). the firmware i'm using was 1.10.16m.

i'm going to try installing 1.10.16, and see if that solves it. EDIT: nope, that didn't work.

Try a different web browser. IE / Chrome, etc.

that didn't work. in fact, that was the first thing I tried.

What did work was returning to factory defaults. but then when I set the security settings to what I had as an old password (63 chars, alphabet + numbers + symbols + space) it wouldn't allow it as a password. So i had to make it simpler. stupid shit :/

Strange, what kind of error did you get?

no error. when i click through to apply, it truncates the password to 7 characters, and accepts it. (despite the fact that wpa2 spec doesn't accept a password less than 8 chars). i thought it might be just a display problem, so i tried connecting the laptop. nope, sure enough, 7 chars. really weird.

Is that guy still in warranty? If it is, I know what I'd be doing next..
