I am occasionally checking the security log on several Windows 2000 PCs. One seems to reach it's maximum log size (10,240kb) within three days, but doesn't have a great deal of entries. The other PCs' logs are only a few hundred kb, with a few weeks of entries.
What's happening and how can it be fixed? I've tried clearing the log but the behavior doesn't change. I did Restore Defaults and then re-entered the parameters we used (10,240kb, 60 days) but the behavior still persists. This causes the log to stop recording, presumably until the latest entry is over 60 days old.
