Security in OS

I was wondering where I can find information about security in Windows XP/2003, Linux, MacOS and UNIX, please gimme some clues.

Thanks for the help.

like some web page that have information about security issues in Windows, Linux, I need to make a comparison and need some reliable sources, so web pages that have serious information, not something like Windows is better in a Microsoft page, and not Linux is better than Windows because I said it so.

Hope that this is enough

What kind of comparison? Number of vulnerabilities? Types of vulnerabilities? Days of risk? Criticality?

security is as good as the admin, no better. I have seen locked down tight do exactly what is needed windows servers, and running loose and wild got hacked linux boxes. same thing, only reverse too. Security is 90% admin 10% OS patches. (IMHO)

I came across this website that looks like it can give you just what you are looking for. It doesn't seem to be very well known, but it should work alright. I think it must be some new thing.

Thanks for help to nweaver, spherrod and STaSh, especially spherrod, although GOOGLE is a good search engine it throw you garbage, so much about Linux and Windows, so I was looking for information like spherrod contribution.

And I will try to get information about admin experiences I hope that I find it.

More contributions are always welcome.

The link I provided was the first hit on my search 😉 Google is as good as the search terms you provide - I just searched on the following terms

While I agree a competent admin is important I disagree with your statement as a whole. Patches/update are def not 10% of the 2 input equation your provided, they are much higher especially in a Windows envirnment. Out of curiosity what side of the fence are you looking at this from? Are you a network/sys admin?
