Security + Exam (or beta) experiences?

Curious if anyone has taken the new CompTIA Security+ exam (released 12/02/02), or, more likely, the beta that was previously available?
I'm looking to take it in the next couple of months, if I read some positive reviews of the exam.

A relatively easy, entry-level test to demonstrate basic understanding of computer security concepts.

I am a 2nd year 'consultant', looking to get a few certifications to build the resume, just in case...
