Security Deposit Check Conundrum

Ok, so I finally received the security deposit back from my old landlord, but they wrote the check with my name and my 3 other roommates' names on the "Pay to the order of" line. Can I cash the check with only my signature endorsing it or do I need everyone's signatures on the check?

The problem with having all 4 signatures is that one person on the check is currently studying abroad in France, so there's no possible way of obtaining his signature. Anyone have any experience with this?

everybody has to be present at the bank, and endorse the check in front of the teller. No other ways

were you all on the lease? if not tell the landlord to cut you a new check w/just one name.

Yeah, we were all on the lease. I may have to drive back home, pick up the check, drive back to college and bitch at them for not writing out separate checks. Damn.
