I've been considering buying one of these, to point at my car, and possibly my patio entrance. The kits that I have found are too expensive for me, but I noticed that these included DVR cards to install in a PC. I assume that this is for recording the camera's output, but since I have a Hauppauge PVR150, wouldn't this be able to do that? If I only wanted to view a live picture without recording it, would I need any special hardware or software?

Normally the CCTV equipment is 75 ohms and TV signal is 50 ohms.

This might still allow a picture to be displayed but it will have to go into the component signal.

Not sure on the software that comes with it but if it's for TV signals then the recording quality will be far too high for CCTV purposes, it'll be nowhere near broadcast quality.

Not sure what you meant by this?? CCTV and Cable TV are all 75 ohm. The older outdoor type parallel lead TV antennas were 300 ohm. I don't know of any 50 ohm TV equipment.
