Anyone hear anything about heightened secuity at Mardi Gras?

I'm planning on going but given the current world situation, NO might not be the safest place to be.

Are my fears irrational or do you think Mardi Gras could be a target?

 
We had a segment on the news the other night about this very topic. They were talking about their being some federal security or something at Mardi Gras, but the general consensus is that if something major were to happen, then there might be a chance of a quiet Mardi Gras, but otherwise mostly business as usual.
