Security always comes second right? :)

Well, I've been having the most embarassing moments of my life while I tried to install the wireless router on my landlord's desktop. This is the 3rd time I went to their house and although I get it to work this time (finally!) I leave the network without any security. No, I wanted to put WEP128 on the network, but my laptop simply refused to connect, besides that, it took down the wired connection as well. So I said F that! And now I am surfing on the wireless network without any form of security 😀

Well well, to my defense ( and really only to my defense) I did turn on the firewall in the XP, but I guess this only protects my laptop. Is there a way I can install some kind of security on the wireless network while not being on the main computer? I really don't want to knock on their door the 4th time.

you should be able to login to the routers web page (use the "default gateway" address) and change the settings. Biggest problem? If you mess it up and can't get reconnected then you will be banging the door.
