Here is the situation. We have a website where people conduct transactions and often need to call tech support for help with using the site. we were thinking that it would be nice if they could enter into a chat session instead of dialing tech support we would be set. the only problems is that it needs to be very secure because of the chance of account information that may be used. can anyone suggest something or atleast send me down the correct path. thanks
 
I think you can do AIM and jabber over ssl. You could use an SSL IRC server with SSL clients or a JAVA client on a webpage served over SSL. 😛
