For people looking for something slightly different out of the trillions of FPS's, I suggest Section 8.

What I really like about Section 8's multiplayer is that there's a lot of versatility in it. You can spec out your class, much like BF/CoD, but you get upgrades (minor buffs to really tailor your class, not just a weapons loadout). You still get drops (turrets, supply depots, etc.) but the cool part is that instead of spawning at a captured point, you can literally spawn anywhere on the field by dropping in. To control areas, people put up anti-air turrets to shoot you down as you drop in.
Section 8 was a really low key game - I picked it up from gogamer's 48hr madness. I really hope S8
turns out to have a much bigger community (which is to say regular S8 has basically no MP players), because it's the first FPS I've really enjoyed in a while.
