I dare you to make your way through this piece this (rainy here) Sunday and not be moved.

Personally, I have nothing political to add, just deep sadness for all those who have to carry on as best they can because a living part of them gave "their last full measure of devotion" thousands of miles away from hearth and home, and yet, may well have died in motherfucking vain.

Unfortunately, much the same thing can be said about those who gave their all in several of the wars since WWII.
At the time, I believed that why we were in Vietnam was a good thing...nowadays...not so much.

Despite your dare I won't be watching it this night, perhaps another night. I know what it's about and I can't state my utter admiration for these people and my total disgust for those who sent them to die without being far too rude in a thread about people who gave their lives in any shape that makes it meaningful. It's a loss we have to live with as a nation.

It should be brought up more often and I'm glad that you did.
