Before anyone rushes to judgement on Colin Powell, please read this article:

This is the one I was quoting from memory up above.

Excellent read.

Thanks!

Yeah, I really got into it. I was at BJ's getting my tired patched up the other day and started flipping through one of the GQ magazines that was laying there and came across this article. I just couldn't put it down.

LOL. I misread you twice. I thought you said you were getting a BJ.

Can't beat BJs for tire repair. I had my tire done there too a month ago for like $9.

Well, I got my tires there, so I have free lifetime rotation, balancing, repair, etc. My GF noticed that my right front tire was low last month so I checked it out and it was half of what it should be while all three other tires were fine. I took it to BJ's and they said they didn't find a problem (WTF?) and sent me on my way with a fully inflated tire and told me that if it did it again to bring it back and they would give me a new tire. I checked the wheel again last week and it was again half of what it should be. So I went back and they started looking MUCH harder this time for a leak (guess they didn't want to pony up for a new tire) and sure enough, they found it 😉

He was definitely at odds with the other cabinet members in Bush's administration

http://www.guardian.co.uk/usa/...,12271,1302834,00.html

A furious row has broken out over claims in a new book by BBC broadcaster James Naughtie that US Secretary of State Colin Powell described neo-conservatives in the Bush administration as 'fvcking crazies' during the build-up to war in Iraq.

Powell's extraordinary outburst is alleged to have taken place during a telephone conversation with Foreign Secretary Jack Straw. The two became close friends during the intense negotiations in the summer of 2002 to build an international coalition for intervention via the United Nations. The 'crazies' are said to be Vice-President Dick Cheney, Defence Secretary Donald Rumsfeld and his deputy, Paul Wolfowitz.

Sounds about right 😀
