Somewhere on the net, I read that there is a size that is smaller than a tall at Starbucks. It isn't on the menu but apparently all starbucks know about it.

Anyone know what it is?

Also, does anyone have the recipe for the Carmel Apple Cider?

There isn't a smaller size that I know about and I worked there for 2.5 years.

The caramel apple cider we sold was a shot drink, sold in a demitasse, I wonder if that's what you're calling the secret small.

It was not on the menu.

It was steamed cider in a demitasse, whipped cream and caramel drippings, with cinnamon sprinkled on top.

demitasse, this is what espresso is usually served in.

I suppose you could get your coffee in an espresso cup and charge you for a small.

I worked at Starbucks when they introduced the Venti (20 oz) cup, and when I left they were still selling drinks in the Short (8 oz) size. It was taken off the menu, but it was still on the registers and you could order it if you wanted to. Granted that was about 6 years ago, so things may have changed....

I guess "short" it is. How many ounces in a tall?

If anyone goes to starbucks for lunch... If you could ask if there is a short size that would be much appreciated.

Thanks in Advance.

Don't they display the cups with the 3 sizes ? I don't recall ever seeing a smaller size. Think they'd need to go dig in the back ?

Speaking of starbucks.... They transformed a small clothing store into a starbucks in less than 2 weeks, right around the corner from me. I think that makes 4 starbucks in Gainesville now

At the two stores that I used to work in (downtown Chicago), you could still order a short. One of the stores even opened last fall. Not sure if this is a regional thing though.

On a related note, I haven't had any urge to drink that stuff since I left. Not that I drank coffee anyways before I started working there.

At my local starbucks they have a "kiddie" size. That's the old "short".

Lots of people order coffee for their kids. (Insert comment here)

I know, as if kids need more caffeine, not to mention that it stunts your growth. I used to make the drinks in decaf for the kids whether they asked for it or not.

Hot/cold chocolate or plain milk

The kids chocolate milk (hot or cold) is only $1 when they mix it. Those organic milk boxes they sell in chocolate and "vanilla" are like $1.75 tho. And they have less in them. Whenever I can convice my son to not want the box, it's all about the kiddie cup.

Ahh, but you see Lewis Black has found the end of the universe. It's not out in space; it is, in fact, in Houston, Texas, where you can sit in a Starbucks sipping coffee and look across the street at the Starbucks across the street!!!!

All of you who think you've got too many Starbucks around: go to Seattle. :D

Showing 1-20 of 141 Stores

That's for a small city, mind you. Not in the outlying areas. :D

...not only that, but we've got about a billion other coffeeshops around. :D:D

I've never used a cell phone, and I've never been to Starbucks.

Not bragging, just wondering if I've missed anything worthwhile ?

I don't even like coffee but Starbucks carmel apple cider is very good...

What I really don't get is why people are willing to pay so much for coffee.
