Ok, rig setup as below.
The VF700Cu coolers are hooked up to the fan power connectors on the 6600GTs to take advantage of the build-in fan control (at least I thought...).
The primary card works perfectly, slowing down to 60% upon booting into windows and going up to 90% in 3D mode.
The secondary card however gives a sh!t and runs full speed all the time...WTF
The fan settings of 60/60/90 are set in the BIOSes as well as with Rivatuner on driver level...
Anyone an idea or experiences about/with this one?
Hmm...thinking of hooking both fans onto the primary card, but not sure, if the fan-power delivered by the card is enough for two fans... ;)

Update: For some utter reason my second card does not slow down before I go under 40% So for silent operation I would need like 17% 2D and 25% 3D...If they are out of SLI and the boards can be accessed separately by the driver, this is no problem to set. But with SLI enabled, the driver does all settings in parallel to both cards (especially clocks and fan speeds)... :( Oh well, so I stuck with the second option and hooked both fans to card No1... ;)
