I computer is no longer boots when a CD player is connected to the secondary IDE Port. It was working until recently and I know its not the drive as i have tried it on the other port as well as other computers and it works fine. Any suggestions as to checking the cause and fixing?

If there is solution is there a PCI Card solution for adding IDE devices?

My main concern here would be that my mb was heading south on me.Have you tried attaching another drive to the secondary ide controller ? Is it possible to RMA the mb ?
