I've been trying to get a lg 32" hdtv working. I'm using a dvi to hdmi cable. The TV has 3 hdmi-ports. One of the ports particularly sais hdmi(dvi). I tried all 3 ports just to be sure. The cable is plugged into the HD4850. Into the HD 4850 I also have a 23,1" acer plugged in, 1920*1080. ATI CCC will 'detect' the display, but when I enable it, and tell it to extend the desktop to the secondary monitor, the TV will simply display: No signal.
I've pretty much tried everything. From my own experience, it should be as simple as plugging the dvi-hdmi cable into the HDTV, and selecting the proper input. I have tried a direct hdmi-hdmi cable from a laptop to the tv, and it worked just fine. Also, when trying different things, I actually got the HDTV to display the desktop (i took out the regular monitor). So in theory the HDTV should work. But later on, when I tried plugging in the HDTV only, it wouldn't work.
I've also tried enabling the onboard 3200-igp, which should be able to work alongside the HD 4850, no? It was definately enabled, as ATI CCC showed 4 screens I could possibly hook up. But when plugging the HDTV-cable into the motherboard, it still would not work. I'm completely baffled to be honest. I have 9.4 installed.
The ports on the videocard aren't bad either, coz I can switch them around for the regular monitor just fine. Could it be there's a conflict between the acer x233h, and the lg-tv? Maybe the igp (even though it's disabled, or enabled, with dual view enabled or disabled) is messing stuff up? Oh, and I have used the videocard to hook up two monitors before (1 regular, one HDTV).
Any advice would be appreciated.
