Aloha Gang,
I use Vista Ultimate and I have a problem with my secondary drive. My primary drive has my windows and programs on it. My secondary drive has all of my documents. My problem is that if I do not access the secondary drive for awhile, it seems to fall asleep. When I try to open a document on this drive, there is a pause, then I can hear the drive start to spin up. My documents loads soon after. It may take 4 seconds or so to start to load the document. After it is spinning, access to other documents on this drive will load normally (fast).
I've hunted around for a fix but cannot seem to find any info on this. I believe this is a Vista issue. Not the drive either, I've already changed it.
