Secondary Hard drive not accessible any more

Alright, here's the situation, I'm hoping my heroes here at Anandtech can help me out!

I have 3 SATA hard drives.

My main drive is a 250GB drive, which I had some problems with (unmountable_boot_volume) a few weeks ago that chkdisk repair fixed... Ill get this question out quickly without too much more rambling : should I take that as a sign that I need to replace that drive??? Was it hardware failure?

One thing that happened following that incident was the 250GB drive had around 150GB or so of free space, now its suddenly reporting 59GB of free space. What gives there? any ideas? All my files don't add up to 200GB, including hidden files, hiberfile and pagefile too.

But main issue here is with one of my smaller, matching 80GB SATA drives (Hitachis). One is MUSIC, one is MOVIES. The 'Music' drive has suddenly turned to 'Local Disk', shows 0 B capacity, shows RAW format, and when I attempt to browse it, I get

D:\ is not accessible
The wrong diskette is in the drive. Insert (Volume Serial Number: ) into drive D:\.

This program I found PC Inspector File Recovery still can see the drive NAME and the files on it no problem if I need to worry about dumping the contents of the drive. But I just discovered something somewhat suspect: in Disk Management, the MUSIC drive is marked status as "HEALTHY (ACTIVE)", whereas my MOVIES drive is just "HEALTHY" (they are both non-system or 'OS' drives, just files).

Finally...I should note that I installed Vista 5342 yesterday, after completely pulling my 250GB SATA drive with Windows on it, so as not to get Vista all rooted into my XP boot and make a mess.
And one last detail, the start of this issue was after a reboot back into XP, all my drive letters were scrambled around...but I have taken care of that so I just need to get this drive back up.

Thanks, I hope you guys can help!
