Hey all, new here well this is my second build (first one by my self).
So my last build was about a couple of days ago. Me and my brother built it. i picked the parts and paid 1500 approx but he loved how well it ran so he paid me 1700 and bought it off me. So im building again and need advice. my old build was as follows:
Cpu-i7 2600k ( want to use the same one)
Mobo: Gigabyte p67a-ud3(we bought 2 of these because we found them when they werent on sale so ill use that one till the p8p67 pro comes out then ill switch to that)
Ram: 8gb's XMS3(suggest what to use)
Case: Haf-932(wanna try something different)
GPU: Evga GTX 570 SC(dont know what to get for this one, dont want just an identical system but if thats the best for my price range thats fine. ( will probably SLI or XF with whatever i get in future)
PSU: Corsair HX-850 (suggest something new wanna try new supplies.)
HDD Samsung f3-raptor(we bought 2 for raid, but ended up using only one, so i will use this)
SSD suggest
Heatsink: Hyper 212+ (want to try H50 this time)

WILL BE USED FOR GAMING. and my monitor resolution is 32" 1080p (1920x1080)

Please advise thank you. Im in USA btw.

Looks like a solid build already. Doesn't need much tinkering. IF you want to try a different case then you can try the Silverstone Raven 02 or RV01. SSD, the new Intel SSDs look nice and are the fastest. Get those if they fit in your budget.

I'm no expert but the PSU seems to be a bit overkill. Anyone else want to comment on that?

Your PSU is way overkill for that system. You shouldn't need anything more than 500-550 watts, although I'd personally buy 650 just because I don't like loading a PSU to more than about 60-70% of its rated capacity...but that's me.

Antec, Corsair, XFX, Seasonic are all very good brands of PSUs.

I would personally get the Corsair HX 650 or Antec Truepower New 650

Fine, though the i5-2500K will do just as well for gaming. Once overclocked, there's even less difference because HT doesn't do anything for gaming.

Mobo: Gigabyte p67a-ud3(we bought 2 of these because we found them when they werent on sale so ill use that one till the p8p67 pro comes out then ill switch to that)
If you already have a mobo, why buy another one?

Ram: 8gb's XMS3(suggest what to use)
Make sure they only need 1.5V, otherwise, just get these - G.Skill DDR3-1333 2x4GB - $80

GPU: Evga GTX 570 SC(dont know what to get for this one, dont want just an identical system but if thats the best for my price range thats fine.
Really depends on how much you want to pay for a GPU.

(will probably SLI or XF with whatever i get in future)
It's either now or never. Just what's the point of boosting performance in the future at the cost of higher power consumption, higher heat output, possible microstutter, xfire profile issues, and higher upfront cost? It's not like it's cheaper (because of higher initial costs) and it probably won't outperform newer graphics cards by a significant margin (probably on par in terms of performance, but you'd be stuck with the cons of xfire). Don't get me wrong, xfire has its benefits, but future upgrades isn't really one of them.
PSU: Corsair HX-850 (suggest something new wanna try new supplies.)
Random new stuff you could try:
Antec High Current Gamer Series HCG-520 - $89
CORSAIR Enthusiast Series TX650 V2 - $104
XFX P1-650X-CAH9 650W - $105 ($75 AR)
Was going to suggest the "Core Edition," but that one comes out cheaper with the MIR.
HDD Samsung f3-raptor(we bought 2 for raid, but ended up using only one, so i will use this)
WD vraptors? Or Samsung F3's? o_O
SSD suggest
Vertex 3 when it comes out next month? Or the month after that?
Heatsink: Hyper 212+ (want to try H50 this time)
Fine, though I think the 212+ is cheaper and does just as well.

If you're set on doing GTX 570 SLI, then 850W probably isn't overkill, especially if you want to do some overclocking with the CPU and GPU.

Yep, never heard that one before! If it would really only be 2 months before you could afford an SSD and another GTX 570, then you should definitely just wait and buy the whole thing before. If you build it today, you'll most likely lose interest in SLI before two months is up and be stuck with a ridiculous PSU that you'll never get full value out of.

well i have no computer right now thats why. im using my tiny netbook to post from and i need something by this friday. Also if the gtx590 or the 6990 outperforms like crazy i might just sell the 570 in the future and add a bit of my money and buy one of those two, ill looking into all of that in the future but ill get a beefier card or cards for sure so i think 850 isnt too bad.

Looks like a good build, but you will need to drop the XMS3 and get 1.5v RAM instead. Gskill Ripjaws, or Corsair vengance (overpriced IMO) would be good. Also 850w is good if you do indeed plan on doing SLI, but if not drop it down to 650w. For the cooler I would stick with the Hyper 212+, and I would drop the CPU down to the i5-2500k, since the i7 is pointless for gaming.

^ Yes, it can drive those two simultaneously. Make sure you have the right outputs/adaptors to link the card to the monitors.

No reason you wouldn't be able to connect those 2 monitors. You realize that you will only be playing in one screen and not spanning right?
