Just purchased a new MSI GT0 based laptop with a primary SSD and a second open drive slot. I need another hard drive that will hold 50-100 GB.
Option #1 is a Seagate 750GB 7200 RPM HDD for $79.99 (I already bought it at that price but I can return it) - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822148599
Option #2 is a 120GB OCZ Vertex 3 SSD for $74.99 (after rebate). - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820227706
I understand the SF-2200 controller on the OCZ Vertex 3 had issues, but I believe those have been resolved with firmware updates. Is that correct? Assuming it has been, what would be better:
Two SSD - one for the OS/data and one for games;
Two SSD - one for the OS/games and one for data; or,
One SSD for OS/games and one HDD for data?
Also, in case it matters, the games I am playing right now are Guild Wars 2 and League of Legends, both of which have frequent updates.
