My "rig"

AMD 3700+ @ 2.7 and counting
Gig of ram
2x80 gb IDE drives
2x7900GT CO SC
X-FI sound card
DVD burner
and random stuff......

So I cut some of my case installed a another PSU in my case
So now I have:

1.) OCZ 520W ModStream
2.) 450W antec Trupower 2.0

I first was gonna just run everything minus the MOBO connection and video cards off the modstream.
Run the drives fans and other stuff on the Antec.
I am still concerned that the OCZ PSU still wont have enough amps to run the 2x7900gts with my cpu oc'ed.
They recommend 30A+ The OCZ is rated for 28a+ on the 12v i believe

SOOOOOOOOO
My actual question is , is it safe to run one card off each PSU?
Does the 24 pin connection regulate amps watts vots etc? ( cause its not hooked up to anything )

To be sure 100% that you won't have any issues at all you can use the sli on ocz and the o/ced cpu with the other components on the antec..

I think I should be ok @ stock speeds, but I've heard with a overclock either on the cards or on the cpu, they drain alot of the amps. The factory clock is already @ 550/1580 and I can run it @ 590/1800 @ stock volts.
I need to keep my cpu OC at least, or Im bottlenecking myself hardcore

edit

I actaully dont have the second 7900gt yet, hence trying to figure this stuff out before it arrives

The sli 7900gt's may draw 12 amps max. Probably 10 amps. That's basically an X1900XTX. an OCZ powerstream can handle that :p. what's your vcore? jw lets say you draw 13amps which is a pretty big overestimate. Then you got everything else which will draw less than 5 amps. Also nothing will be running at the same time. I mean your hard drives spinning up, dvd burner, both graphics cards loaded, cpu 100% not gonna happen.

The modstream is good enough for those cards. I use it with 7800 GTs, which draw significantly more power.
