So I've been using dual monitors for a few weeks on windows 10.My second monitor was set on it's native 1600x900 resolution via Displayport on my 980ti.
But today when I turned on the resolution of the second monitor was set to 800x600.

The native resolution wasn't available any-more, but I managed to have it show up after a few restart. Now that the native resolution is again available on windows control panel and on the nvidia control panel I selected it but the screen stays as 800x600...

Actually, the monitor itself (a hp compaq LA2006x) says it is a 1600x900 native monitor but that it's current settings are 800x600.

I've tried unplugging the monitor for 10 minutes but it didn't change anything.Drivers are all up to date.

I am utterly defeated right now.The monitor is being recognized by windows and the graphic card as a 1600x900 native and it is selected. But the monitor stays as 800x600, even though this resolution isn't even available.

edit : Ok, so apparently it is the displayport entry that only gives 800x600, plugging the monitor into the other displayport entry gives the 1600x900 resolution...What does it mean, is it bad news for my graphic card if one displayport entry suddenly is locked to 800x600?
