They won't be eaten. Not if the Government says the dogs could have rabies.

Given how sloppy and cruel the Government is over there, the dead dogs will most likely be piled up somewhere in a pit and either burned or buried. After a few days hatching maggots. These ghouls hired to do the clubbing for 0.10/hr wages probably have that gravedigger's job as well.

Watch the World's opinion of China continue to tumble on this one.

Hmmm? They're in a tough situation. Speaking of the grinning old commie bastard club leadership there. What to do? "When Bush invades/bombs Iran, ...shall we invade/bomb Taiwan?" "But what about our hosting of the Olympics in Bejing in 2008?"

Reputation means everything if you want to attract a full participation in the Olympic Games and increase your Worldwide prestige in the process.

What's it called? "...Ying and Yang?" The Chinese Leadership can't act both good and evil and come out good. They want to put on a smiley face like Walmart does to attract business and lots of happy Olympic Game travellers on '08. China is spending Billions building the infrastructure for it all. They love the thought of the prestige. It's now an obsession over there to look modern and second to none in terms of culture and sophistication.

But underneath the facade of that Chinese vanity and propaganda are all these absolutely horrific horrors going on over there everyday. Just think. A dog is the #1 common household pet in this World. Mankind's best friend. There's no rationalizing that fact away. They are workers side by side with us on many important tasks as well. Been that way for thousands of years. A one of a kind unique relationship.

The pictures of the dog clubbing atrocities on the internet will be quite powerful. Someone posted a link to one here earlier. That picture made me want to wretch my cookies.

Ying and Ying. What goes around comes around. China will sooner or later pay the price of their barbarism.

With all the real problems and political issues with China, why does that even make the news. And how can someone in this country even take issue with how they treat dogs considering how many pets are killed by animal shelters everday here.

I think beating a dog to death and injecting the dog with whatever they inject it with to put them to sleep are two different things.

As for the topic at hand, China can do whatever they want with animals over there. However if some dog killing goonsquad came to my house wanting to kill my dog, there would be problems.

China has some very serious barbarism going on there across the entire spectrum of their hijacked commie culture. The dog slaughter is just the latest episode.

Out of the estimated 500,000 dog clubbings that will occur there in the weeks ahead, how many of those will get really nasty? People weaping. Dogs being bludgeoned not on the head but all over. Loud and bloody in public view of everyone. That's just unimaginable ever happening here in a Western Nation like the USA, Canada or in England, France or Germany. Why? Because it's such bizarre cruelty. Sick sh#t.

Add China to the list, next to Iraq and Lebanon. Lots of Government sponsored death being dealt out.

Yeap, that's a great point. If you really want some dirty laundry on China, go look at how they harvest human organ for money, and how the corrupt local officials take over farmer's land to sell to big companies, and beat those farmers to death when they protest.

I mean please, talking about how they slaughter dogs to prevent rabies is so amaturish and just goes to show how the west values dogs over human being.

Sorry, I don't see how culling dog populations to prevent rabies from being spread is a bad thing. If rabies was spreading through the dogs in my neighborhood, I'd shoot them too! That disease is really quite nasty.

And how is this any more or less 'humane' or 'barbaric' than we fine Americans who slaughter millions of cows, sheep, chickens, pigs, etcetera?

Pfft, killing dogs has nothing on the state of the environment in China. It's about as modern as Britain's environment 100 years ago.
