PHOBYA 16/10MM COMPRESSION FITTING G1/4 - COMPACT - BLACK NICKEL

EK-FC TITAN X/GTX980 TI WATERBLOCK
$113.99

Total: $396.75

Case is 350D and fans are Noctua NF-F12. These I will buy from Newegg.

Reasons for parts:

H220X was picked because it comes with Pump, Res, Slim radiator and Apogee XL bundled. The 350D can't accept anything larger than the 30mm radiator on top anyways so I feel like this is a good combination for me.

RX240 V3 because apparently it's better than a Monsta at the fan speed I want to run.

The rest is pretty straight forward stuff. I want to Watercool both my GPU and CPU so what kind of temperatures can I expect if I OC them both? Also any suggestions? I really wanted a Fractal Design Arc Mini R2 but I can't fit it in the spot I have for my desktop :( .

Ordered the parts this morning. Everything shipped except the fans despite paying for rush processing. Thanks Newegg.... Should be up by Thursday/Friday.

I have an RX240 for my CPU cooling and it's absolutely awesome. RX360 for the 980Ti. The EK FC Titan X block fits reference 980Tis perfectly and looks awesome with the backplate (if you got it).

I'm personally against AIOs, but if it suits your needs you should go for it.

H220X isn't a "real" AIO. It basically a bunch of watercooling stuff prebuilt for you. I essentially bought an Apogee XL, MCR220, MCP30 pump, and a pair of fans for $139.99.

Yeah, but it still takes the fun out of it. More usable to the end user over long periods of time, but every loop has different needs than cookie cutter parts kits.

The MCR220 is a fine radiator, I have one that is from 2008 still going strong, but there are better ones out there. Like I said, nothing wrong with your decision.

MCP30 is not a industrial pump like D5 or DDC is.

The D5 is the MCP655, its a pump used in industry outside watercooling, more for solar heaters, and other industrial applications which we took to our hobby.

The DDC is the MCP35x a pump which is used in cars and other equiptment where space is limited, and requires a strong head pressure.

the MCP30 is a pump swiftech brought from china, when they were competing for a pump to replace the expensive D5 and DDC.

in terms of reliability, i would NEVER use a pump which isnt a DDC / D5 / Iawaki / and possibly one of koolance's pumps which is a higher tier then the D5.

Swiftech doesnt even sell the MCP30 seperately, which also tells me, they dont want anyone tinkering with the pump due to unestablished numbers on it.

Interesting.

Anyways I built the loop 2 days ago and bleeding was tough with this one but I am completely satisfied with the performance. I am getting around 50 degrees Celsius on the CPU and 40 degrees Celsius on the GPU under load now. My CPU overclock is pretty standard 4.4 Ghz on a 2600k but my GPU is running at 1.5 Ghz flat with no drop in clocks.

The pump itself is quiet as hell though, I have had a DDC pump before and that was a whining jet engine in my PC but this pump is practically inaudible after bleeding the air out. I sometimes look into the reservoir to confirm that the pump is on because it's so quiet it freaks me out.
