Second Life?

Define member.
1) Do you mean someone who has an id and has logged in once or twice, got bored of it and hasn't been back in months?
2) The same as 1 but plays regularly.
3) Pays the month fee.

If 1, then yes.

Anyone of the above: Someone who has gone beyond the front door of its web site.

It's apparently very popular but I really don't "get it".

I created an ID, spent about 3 hours over 2 sessions in their vitual world, wondered "uh, what's the attraction here?", read about how people spend real US dollars so they can purchase CAD-designed "products" made by other SL users and realized there are more worthwhile activities to pursue in real life than to squander it away "playing" Second Life.

Sort of what I was thinking.

Now they have TEEN Second Life: Where Pedophiles Go To Heaven.

I've only played a few times. I know some businesses try to have a presence there, but it's basically just a glorified 3D chat room as far as I'm concerned. Rather boring IMO.

The most fun I ever had there was changing my avatar to an extremely fat guy in tightie-whities and then crashing Studio 54 by dancing with all the 'pretty' people.
