Do any of you who have full time day jobs have another job at evening or work on the side? I'm relatively young (23) single, no kids etc; and while I have friends and go out on the weekends, during the weekdays I find myself not doing much after work.

This may sound crazy to some, this would be something small to start out, maybe an extra 10-20 hours a week, although I have no idea what I would do. Any thoughts or ideas?

So far for ideas I have: ebaying and prostitution (maybe prostitution on ebay)

I see a lot of great ideas, but I'm looking more for something that I could do between the hours of 6pm and the time I go to sleep (midnight). I understand that is going to limit the number of options, but just thought I'd see whats out there.

When I used to be a financial analyst and going part-time for my MBA, I used to work part-time at REI for the discount. Best job I've ever had.

Main: IT Manager (Full Time)
Secondary: IS Support (Part Time 10hrs/wk)
Tertiary: On-Call WISP Tech (Maybe 5hrs/wk)

I would say I have 90% of my weekends off, I don't really care about M-F.

I have a small business (business operations/quality control/finance) that I run on the side. The hours are depend on the clients, sometime it is busy, sometime it is not much to do.

OP, how about part time at a bookstore?

I do IT consulting for a small business on the side. It only amounts to 8-10 hours per month, sometimes as high as 24 hours. It brings in a nice little extra income and the hours are on my terms.

I used to work as a waitress for an "owl" of a restaurant chain... it was hard work and I was desperatly tired after working a full day job then working that second job after.

Only do it if you NEED to I say. We have no kids either, but it is tiring to say the least.

you used to be a Hooters girl?! Only been there twice. Is it true that most of the patrons there are dirty old men? Do many women frequent there? Do hooters girls make more in tips that other servers?

and to answer the OP, I used to tutor at Kumon Mon, Wed, and Fri evenings as my second job. Was a pretty fun job because all the tutors were young and most were women. Lotta fun when we'd go out for happy hour after work. Money was crap, but I stayed there for over a year because i got along so well with most of my peers

Yes, I worked there.
No it is not true that most are "dirty old me". Lots of different PEOPLE... not just men... women too. Lots of girls come there with their BF/Husbands. The women get treated like queens there. It was a fun place to work. It was easy to make a nice amount on a Thurs or Friday night.

Obligatory pic request...:D

Many years back, (early 80's) I worked on one big construction project where I worked 4-10's for a contractor, then, worked 3-13's for a different one. That got old quick...(and so did I) I was glad to see the winter arrive so I could have some time off...The next spring, I started working for yet a different contractor and our shifts were 6-10's.

Last Year, I put in close to 20 hours a week on my side job. It was was not bad, the money is very good but the taxes you pay at the end of the job hurts.

I drove a cab while going to school.
If you're in an area where you won't get robbed/shot it's fun.
You're your own boss and can work any hours you want.
Money wasn't bad, 2-3 times munimum wage.
The fun part is the wide variety of people you meet.
And, no, you don't have to know streets.
