Did you upgrade the CPU in this machine to a dual core system, or is this a new system? Running Windows XP Professional?

Need some more details.

I remeber simular problem by another member. Trade the chip in for 830 or 920 if you mobo supports it. With intel CPUs always check what your mobo supports before geting it. Also check CPUz you could be setting you taskmanager to bar all CPUs in one graph.
View-> CPU history-> One Graph Per CPU

The board does not support both cores on an 820, seems to be a limitation with most of the NF4 chipset boards for Intel. It only affects the 820. Trade it for a 920 if you can and you should be good to go. The 9xx series runs much much cooler than the 8xx series, there is really no reason to get an 8xx series, other than the 805 if you already have really good cooling and plan to overclock.

Wrong, I have a 920, and both cores are recongnized. It was something to do with power limitations. Didn't make sense to me since you would think the 820 drew less power than the higher speed chips, but thats what I was told when I called tech support, because I wanted to be sure my 920 wasn't affected the same way.

I am sorry to say it, but Nforce 4 Intel versions do not support the Intel Pentium D 820. You need to change your cpu.
