My family and I will be visiting the Seattle area for about 5 days. I'm looking for lodging, and came up with several pretty decent looking ones. Since I don't live in Seattle, I really don't know how the areas surrounding the hotels are.
The place I'm thinking of staying is called "First Hill Apartments", and it's located right across from Seattle University, on 10th Ave.
Can people from Seattle please comment whether it's a good area, whether it's safe (as in can walk outside after dark), convenient, and whatnot? We will have a rental car, so we will not need to rely on public transportation.
If that place is not so great, what would be a decent general area I should be looking into (that hopefully is not too expensive)?
