It looks like I'm about to cave. The g/f just got promoted to being the manager, more or less, of the restaurant she's been working at for a while; it also looks likely that I will be offered a full-time position doing web development, which means that I will need to be more accessible than I am right now. We're thinking about getting a family plan - something that might allow free minutes between her & I, or something along those lines, but still have enough minutes for work usage and occasional personal usage.
I've never been a cell phone person, but it's starting to seem like a better and better idea.
Are there good sites that cover the options, rebates, etc., so that I can make the most informed purchase? I'd need to be able to find out what has good coverage (across the Seattle, Western Washington, and some of Eastern Washington areas), what "minutes" actually mean (I've never researched this before), and stuff like that. I don't want to get ripped off on this, of course.
thanks,
Rob
