I'm going to the seattle amd reality check today, anyone else gonna be there??

when I get back tonight I'll give a summary of how it went

Remember, stuff that Battle of the Boxes box with as many forms as you can possibly fill out to give yourself the best chance of your form getting picked. Someone folded their form into a paper airplane and they picked it so do that too.

Want to hear you are the first TeAmmate here to land a CPU or two 😉 😀 😎

Oh man, the lady said you can only enter the battle of the boxes contest once... so I read the official rules on the back of the entry form and she was right :\

anyways I got the bag... a shirt... didnt get a hat though, darnit....

but.... I won a 2400+!!!!!!

After I got my proc, and was making my way up through the crowd to the front where my friends were, I was saying "excuse me please" etc to get through, and people were getting pissed off at me

they were giving me bad glares, almost like they were thinking "this jerk already got a proc, why does he need to be up there now?"

One of the two battle of the box contestants finished in 14 minutes, but he forgot one screw in the motherboard and was disqualified...
the other had the mobo in the case, and accidently dropped a screw and was missing in the case (this guy didnt seem to be a very good screwer 😛) so he had to take the mobo out and the other side panel off, etc...
but he got it all together, finished at 29:30 and just barely made the time frame! so he won the $2500 and a second proc
I wish I coulda had a chance, I think I could have done a lot better.... but who knows since there would be a lot of stress being put on the spot...

One thing that irritated me was this guy standing in front of me had a big list of all the questions asked at another one of the events...
Inside info is cool and all, but not with that much detail....

anyways, I'll be putting this new proc to use for the team as soon as I can... will be a few weeks though, have no money for a new mobo and ram right now :\

DUDE!!! Congratulations on winning the yummy processor! 😀 You know what you need now... an nForce2 motherboard and two sticks of PC3200 CL2 memory! 😀

Congrats, I knew someone would finally win one from here and a 2400 too, most of the people in Atlanta got 2100's except for one guy.
The guy at the Atlanta show blasted out over the mic to stuff the Battle box, he said it not me. Guess they've tried to correct that now.

Wow man, congrats! Gotta love that, a nice new 2400! Man that is awesome.

I was at a reseller thing that AMD was speaking at and they were asking questions about stuff and there was a guy there that had a cheat sheet, man what a dork. Plus he got really pissed when he got stumped on his first question and then I answered it. Got me a XP2000 on that one. 🙂

Thanks 🙂

its good to see honesty prevail over cheaters! 🙂

the guy with the list didnt get anything but a couple of t-shirts 😛

oh yeah... my 2400+... the L1 bridges aren't cut...
does anyone know if thats how they have been coming?

There were tons of people from AT at the seattle event apparently! 😛

did anyone else from team anandtech attend?
