I remember growing up & reading about our relatives & friends in the required family letter you sent with Christmas cards. Broke down & did one this year, my wife was impressed & didn't change a letter.

Season?s Greetings from the Pliablemoose?s
We?ve had a busy year this year; we?re continuing to settle in to our new house, and doing some light remodeling. We?ve nearly finished with the tile in the living room & will be finishing the other rooms hopefully during the next year. Spot & Claire (our Devon Rex & Sphynx cats had 2 litters of kittens (4 each time) and we finally sold them all to good homes.
D has been working in her new job as ADPAC (she provides computer support & training for the physicians), and has been pinch hitting as support staff in the Ambulatory Care Administrative office for the last 2 months. She?s looking forward to getting back to just her routine duties this month. We (the girls & I) gave her a banjo for her birthday & she?s learning to play pretty well.
A (13 this year) is doing well in school, brought home all A?s last semester & made us very proud. She?s participating in Choir, Karate (earned her yellow belt in November), Band (only bassoon player in the symphonic band, & tried out for regional band this month). She participated in a residential Gifted Math Camp for 3 weeks last summer @ the University of North Texas & Band Camp for a week in late spring. She?s been asked to take the SAT in February of 2003 as part of the Duke University?s talent search.
C (10 this year) has had a tough year, unfortunately her biological father died this spring in a car accident. She?s done well & is developing some effective coping skills that will doubtless serve her well later in life. C finished out the year of soccer with her team ?The Test? & has learned to run the length of the field without skipping, she finished Jr. Cheerleading this fall & had a blast. She & A were both @ the last Varsity game of the season, A's in the band & C cheerleading. C will be taking flute lessons starting in January (she doesn?t know it yet, as she?s getting a flute for Christmas)
I (L) have continued working in the ER @ the hospital (this marks my 16th year as a nurse). I?ve unfortunately had to make good on my frequent bragging to D about my skills with power tools, and have managed to keep the tally of items destroyed with power tools to less than my yearly salary so far. Work is a constant challenge, the medical & surgical residents & fellows seem to be getting younger each year, despite my determination to remain the same age.
Hope the Holiday Season & New Year bring you a happy & productive new year.
