I'm sure I figured this out / found a decent article about this before, but I was just looking into Seasonic's line-up again myself and I can't remember for the life of me what the distinction is between their different line-ups like 'PRIME', 'Core', etc.

I found this:

Which explains what the next part of the model numbers mean (efficiency, modular state, wattage) nicely, and I'm guessing that 'SnowSilent' is a new 'even quieter' line-up, but help pls.

I posted about this in December when looking at the new Focus power supplies: https://forums.anandtech.com/threads/seasonic-successor-to-the-focus-plus-series.2573808/

From what I can tell, the "Snow" series are just white versions of the Prime series.

If you compare all the specs of those units, they are identical. The "Snow" options are 550 gold, 650 platinum, and 750 titanium, and they all match the same versions in the Prime series. All I can figure is there must be some (small) demand for white PSUs for builds.

Ok, to try and determine the differences between the different series (Prime, Focus, Core), I picked a wattage they all had in common:

One of the most obvious factual differences is in the specs:
Prime: 12 year warranty
Focus: 10 year warranty
Core: 7 year warranty
Differences in the fan life expectancy and MTBF (the Prime and Focus are more similar, Core tends to be commonly more basic than the first two).
Different bearings in the Core (sleeve vs 'fluid dynamic bearing')
The fan management system in the Core is more basic, it doesn't appear to do fanless mode whereas the Prime and Focus do to varying extents.

So Prime > Focus > Core basically, then after that I think I'd pick my budget and see what's the best unit I can get, bearing those factors in mind.

I thought you were asking about the "Snow" units compared to their other models?

Their current units, from best to "worst" are:

There are some big differences besides the warranty length and fan type (the Focus PX under the "Core Series" uses a FDB fan and has a 10 year warranty).

You live on some island country where Seasonic is the only brand of power supply sold?
