While shopping at Newegg, I noticed there were new Seasonic Focus models listed (such as the PX-650 and GX-650). Confused to why the new ones were just called "Focus" instead of "Focus Plus", I came across this:
https://www.techpowerup.com/forums/...lus-psus-with-the-new-focus-px-and-gx.259460/

Details on this "OneSeasonic" initiative can found here: https://seasonic.com/oneseasonic

Basically, these new units are not based on the old Focus platform (the one prior to the release of the Focus Plus), and this new naming scheme is to make it easier for consumers to know what features the model has (efficiency rating, wattage, cabling) by just looking at the new model numbers.

When these hit the shelves it confused me a bit at first, especially because the prices of Core and Focus overlapped a lot.

The "Focus" name now always indicates a 10 year warranty, whereas before only "Focus Plus" did. Core is 7 years like "Focus" was previously, and Prime is still 12 years.

They can name them whatever they want so long they keep making them solid. I don't currently own any Primes but I've nothing but good remarks about the Focus line.

I think it's just renaming as part of some business strategy. I've got a Prime Titanium 1000 running my home server 24/7 since 2017. I've got a Platinum 850 in the main rig and a Silver 840 in my HTPC.
