Would the Seasonic Super Silencer 460 be a good choice for this new board? I know the board is not quite out yet...but there's a pretty good deal on this PSU HERE.

This site lists the specs as a 24 pin connection, but Seasonic lists a 20 pin for the same model. Can anyone confirm this...I've been looking all afternoon at these specs...going blind.

Going to run Dual SATA, 3500 939pin, DVD Burner, CD Burner, 6600 GT, 1gb ram....

Any opinions would be helpful...also, $79 for that PSU is pretty good.

Cheers,

You have good taste. I've been looking at the same mobo/PSU combo myself. Great price too.

The 400W and 460W Seasonics have been upgraded for PCI Express with ATX12V 2.0 and EPS12V standards, but the lower power models have not. I'm not sure if they're fully compliant with *all* the required specs though.

Look here:

Specs

If you're going to order one of these, you'll definitely want to make sure you get a revision A3, which has a much improved fan controller and better efficiency than revision A2.

PC Power & Cooling uses rebadged Seasonic PSUs in its Silencer line as well.

Thanks for the info/link; I haven't built a system in a while...so much to catch up on. Seasonic's are one of the top PSU's IMO;hope this is an A3 for $79, I'll call them tomorrow and let you know--best of luck with your system.

Ciao
