Seasonic s12 600W

hi there, i read that the Seasonic S12 600W PSU supports motherboards with dual CPU. is this the same as Athlon 64 dual core? does this PSU support the dual core?

yes the "dual cpu m/b connector thing". is it for motherboard with two CPU sockets only?
AND, does a PSU need a special power cable to handle motherboards with an Athlon 64 x2?

No, X2 mobos are just plain nF4s with newer bioses. From what I have read, the extra power connectors are for PCIX, or SLI.

yea the dual connector is for two separate chips, not two cores on a chip

the s12-500/600 have (in addition to usual 24 pin, and 4 pin connects) a pair of 6 pin connectors for SLI vid cards, AND an 8 pin connector for dual *socket* motherboards like the Tyan K8WE. its all well explained on their website, BTW.......
