Is this a good PSU? I am gathering parts for my next computer build. Probably will be a Intel 7600K OC'd to hopefully 5ghz. Water Cooled 280mm AIO. A couple of SSD's, no optical drives and a 3TB HDD and Z270 motherboard and a GTX 1070 GPU.

Will this provide enough power?

Maximum: 120 (CPU) + 180 (120% of GPU) + 50-100 (estimate of miscellaneous) W = 350-400 W

Though a 80 Plus Gold unit costs about the same.

It's a good unit. It's been out for a while, but it's still a good design. You'll lose a little efficiency because it's a bronze rated unit, so if you are a power user that always has your PC running, you might want to buy a gold rated unit or higher.

It goes on sale pretty often at Newegg, and it's tough to find a better unit at $35 - $40 after rebate.

Although I picked up my 650w EVGA Supernova G2 for $55 on a 1 day sale on Amazon, so you can get some newer highly rated units at a pretty reasonable price if you keep an eye out.

I got if from newegg for $37 after rebate. That review you listed is for an older version. If you look at the review that Seasonic is semi modular. The new ones are fully modular. Should arrive by the end of this week.

It's still a good unit. It's just been out for a while, so it has changed a little bit over time.

Since you already bought it, I guess it really doesn't matter much now. People generally ask before buying.

I use an S12-II 450W PSU to power my file server. On year 4 now. It replaced an S12 (1st gen.) 450W. That made it to just past the five year mark. Checked the warranty. Five years. It was maybe a couple months past five years. I was happy with the reliability. My file server runs 24/7.

That is good to hear. I like the EVGA power supplies as well. I know that Seasonic has been in the power supply business for a long time. EVGA has a 5 year warranty as well. I could not pass up this opportunity @ $37 after rebate. I was looking at power supplies in the 700w to 750w range. To be quite honest, I am an impulse buyer. It's like throwing darts at a dart board for me.

Well, I have an 850W Seaonic silver PSU in my HTPC that's passed 7 years of duty (7 year warranty). Knock on wood. The Seasonic in my sig (860W Platinum) is close to 2.5 years of 24/7 operation. Those models were not cheap though.

the M12ii is the same as the S12ii except for the modular cabling and some of the reported problems faced by people are loud fan noise and incompatibility with stepped wave UPS.

I buy PFC UPS devices due to that reason. Never have a compatibility with my computers.
