I am experiencing this awful coil whine/high pitch noise that's coming from my Seasonic M12D 850W PSU.
It eventually goes away if I leave it on long enough (I never turn the computer off... only way I'd turn it off is if the power went out) so it doesn't bother me after a while. The thing is that when I reboot and or shut it down to install some new hardware, I'll experience the whine immediately upon starting the computer.
I've read that this is a pretty common problem with these Seasonics. I ordered it from Amazon so luckily for me they are going to ship me a new one and then I can ship this one back without having to wait.
I'm going to receive the new PSU tomorrow and hope and pray that it does not emit this high pitched noise.
