This. I've always wanted to upload screenshots that I can host on the site so I can help people out. Since I saw pm do it, then there should be some way.

only mods and above can, once a forum reaches a certain size it's simply not feasible to allow members to attach files due to costs, it's pretty common practice.

I too prefer a plain box. Just protect the unit inside and skip the marketing crap.

But you can use that to your advantage when selling the product away. Or if you use it to the end of its life, you can bury it in the velvet bag, and the cables in the velcro pouch, along with all the 80+ golden memories... *sigh*

I bought a x400 and I needed more SATA cables. I asked them where I could buy a single 3xSATA Power cable for it and they sent me 4-3x ones and 2-2x ones for free. Seasonic is awesome in my book.

For the price of just a few cables, they made sure you'd continue buying their products, and that you'd tell everyone how awesome Seasonic is so that your friends would buy their products too.

And that's what I would do. :cool:

I didn't realize it was a mod-only function. What you said makes sense though.

I was able to on overclock.net, and I'm pretty sure that site is comparable if not bigger than this one in members. Regardless, I'll just use an image hosting website.

Thanks for letting me know. :)

Man, Seasonic is the cadillac of PSUs.

Only some Corsair PSUs are Seasonic made, others are CWT as mentioned earlier in this thread as well.

Does Corsair use diff oems for diff product lines, say Seasonic for the higher rated PSUs and CWTs for the cheaper lines?

http://www.realhardtechx.com/index_archivos/Page447.htm

CWT = CX, CX v2, GS, TX M, HX750 850 1050
Seasonic = TX, TX v2, HX650, lower W HX (discontinued), AX650 750 850
Flextronics = AX1200

That site is terrible...quickly browsing, it appears that they completely ignore the wonderful products sold under the Aspire/Apevia brand name...:p
(OK, it's a nice catalog of reviews...thanks for that)

I also like this site for PSU/manufacturer info:

I too have one of those 400 fanless supplies. It is a awesome psu, and runs very cool to be fanless. I actually liked having the bag to store the extra connectors in. With a modular supply that is actually useful. Now the velvet bag that was kind of gay...If I want a velvet bag I'll go buy some crown royal haha D:

While these are not official marketing claims, I have personally verified that our PSU bags are excellent for D&D dice, a pipe + tobacco, or for carrying a headset in.

I just got my Seasonic PSUs and wrote up a small review (with pictures !).
I'm Happy with the purchase, they are easily better than the older units they've replaced :)

I just got my X750 and thought I was opening up some sort of prized treasure. I'm not usually swayed by marketing, advertising, or packaging, but I was in this case. I especially liked how everything was compactly packed inside the box. There was no wasted space. Very nice job.

The bags are a nice fit for my friend's netbook. It's 10", which happens to be the same size as most tablets, so maybe market them as tablet covers so you get people carrying them around :p.

Emailed Seasonic to try and order more sata connectors, but they just asked for my invoice and shipping address. I just opened it today, and i found 8 sets of sata cables, velcro cable ties, and a Seasonic case badge. I love the quality of my x650, and I am amazed at their cuatomer service. Anyways I just wanted to share ;)

They sent you a shitton of freebies? Awesome.

If I ever have to go to jail, I'll be sure to call Seasonic for the bail money.

No if they want to impress perhaps they should release the 1 and 1.2kW platinum fully modular X series already. ;)
