well my powersupply finally arrived and i want to get this thing hooked up and see what happens but im not quite sure what to hook and where.

I have P180 case and A8N32-sli mb and seasonic 500 w ps. I see the large white connector with 24 pins and that seems obvious where that goes but there are lots of other connectors and im just not clear. there seems to be on the mb a connector labeled atx12v, its a white square 4pin conneciton, i see i have a 4pin connector on the PS that fits, do we need to hook that up?

Also have several black 4 pin ones that seem to be called pci-e, do i hook this to the Video card (i see it has a similar 4pin plug)

and i see flat connectors that are labled serial ATA, i assume this fits on the harddrive. my wd4000 hd has regular 4pin molex connector and a long flat one that fits this, i assume its power so i dont need to hook both to it?

think thats it, sorry if these seem like silly questions but havent built one in like 2+years and stuff has changed considerably. thx

Better than O.K. Looks good. Two years absence has been good to you. You've still got that intuitive skill you always had. Keep moving forward in your build.

ok was installing os, it was formating drive, when i get back its got blue screen up and it says

The bios of this system is not fully ACPI compliant blah blah blah? Anyone have any ideas on this? again i havent built in a few years so no idea what this is. Let me know ASAP

thx

Advanced Configuration and Power Interface.

It's common so I'm sure your board has it. You might check the BIOS and see if it is enabled. Link - ACPI
