Hello Everyone,
I've been reading a lot of posts in various forums about the holidays and the needy. While my family is eeking out an existance i cannot consider myself needy as i am paying for my own new car through college (well..its a crappy one but 😀) and the house has 2 new computers that i put together with my own money.
What i wanted the purpose of this thread to be is for the DC community here @ AT to get together and "make a difference." While i know that we here are all from parts near and far, inside and outside the US, what brings us together is the fact that we are all friends here...
Also, i've noticed in my year+ here (long time reader, new member 😉 ) that the DC people here will jump to the aid of anyone and everyone @ the drop of the hat. the posts in the Offtopic forum about this matter is about a 1/3 negative and i am sickened by it. The needy are needy and many would like to get back up on their feet but just need some help. once a person falls into the hole it is hard to get back up in our society as no one is going to hire a person without a permanent address...
Either way, lets toss some ideas around for a DC-community "gift" to a Charity (s) of our choosing. i do not want to head this endeavor as i do not have the experience necessary for something of this nature but i will contribute 😀..

Information: Click on a NFL team of one's choosing ONCE a DAY and cambell will donate 1 can of
Chunky soup to a local area food bank where that team is based, obviously ppl's favorite teams have ten's of thousands more than other lesser known areas so spread your clicks 😀
