In the market for new glasses and I don't think I'm going to get them this time from my eye doctor since they seem to be overpriced. I do have AAA and I think BJs or Sears gives you a discount for that. Anyone have experience with them?

I'll be getting my exam from the doctor and then taking my prescription to the store.

Thanks.

If you can order online, do that. Companies like Zenni Optical are very cheap, and make good glasses. All you need is your prescription measurements from opthamologist, and input them when ordering a pair online.

I usually like to try on glasses, etc before buying them... where do you go to get them fitted once you purchase them?

You can try styles in store, and order similar or exact same style/brand online.
Once you get the pair, you can take it to be adjusted (if needed) at local optometrist for nominal fee.

I'm wearing a pair I got from Zenni 2 years ago right now. Fits perfectly, and only cost $60 for a pair that would have cost more than $250 from optometrist.

Yep, myself, wife, and both kids sport glasses from Zenni. The exact same pair my daughter wanted at the doc's office for $120 was less than $20 from Zenni.
Just make sure you get your inter-pupillary distance measurement.

Do you know how long that would take to pay for itself? Wearing glasses really isn't that much of an inconvenience.
