Very nice. I was just in the middle of shopping for a few things, and saw this post.

Damn the luck !!! I'd have to spend $75 to drive to the nearest Shell gas station just to use the card !!!

Darn, I just bought two pairs of dockers. I could maybe use 1 or two more, but I don't want to go overboard with buying pants (especially since I can't think of a Shell close by).

Thanks OP. I will stop by Sears this weekend and get some pants and shirts.

$75 Shell will fill me about 1 and 1/2 tanks of gas. Not bad at all.

I'm gonna go for it myself only because I need to retool some of my clothing. I'm sorta like The Fly in that I buy like 5 of the same pair of pants cause I hate clothes shopping so much.

I wouldn't, I don't think, except they *never* have my friggin size. When I wore 30x34 they never had them, when I wore 34x34 they never had them, and now that I wear 32x34 they never have them. They always have a rafter of those 46x29's though!

Anyway quite some time ago I went for the Buy $100 in Dockers and get a free DVD player at JC Penney. First they tried to screw me out of the player by claiming I hadn't made the purchase, once I convinced them I had they sent me the player. A POS Coby which would not play discs. $11 of my money later they sent me a replacement. It worked for maybe a week and now the battery won't take a charge.

The "gotcha" this time is their little disclaimer that says "A. The Gift Card is subject to availability. If the Gift Card should become unavailable, Levi Strauss & Co.(?LS&CO?) reserves the right replace the item with a product of equal or greater value."

I have a feeling that is where most of us will take the shaft as they try to pawn off some $75 "Retail Value" POS gift instead of the gift card.

You can also go to K-mart buy a $50.00 gift card and get 2 free tickets to see The Hulk, do that twice, 2 seperate transactions, then use those gift cards at SEARS to buy docker stuff.

so then you get $100.00 worth of docker stuff,4 free tickets to the HULK, and the $75.00 gas card, and your supposed to get a $10.00 Sears gift card too with the gas card all for $100.00 + tax

I already did this so i know it works, going to see the Hulk saturday with 3 friends.

and most of the Docker stuff was 30 to 50% off too.

i got 2 pairs of shorts, 2 belts and pack of 3 underwears for $100.70 + tax

and you can do this twice per household, if you have atleast two people in the household over 18.

I think they merged, because I recall seeing Sears stuff for sale at my local Kmart. I hate Kmart, but for this, I'll get over it.

Yep they were bought out.

There is also good comments on SD about this. Apparently there are problems with the companies Dockers use for their promotions and people have gotten screwed before. Just an FYI.

LOL, I got the same Coby DVD player and mine won't hold a charge either! It stopped pretty fast. I still use it in the car for the kids in the backseat on trips (not very often really), so it can still stay plugged into the car while the car is running. But if I stop the car to get gas or whatnot, it lasts about 5 minutes before running out of juice.

I called the info line, and was told that they are running late, and should have the cards out in a week or two.

KMart purchased Sears some time ago.

They closed up some KMarts and made the Sears Essentials.

You can use your Sears CC at KMart also.
