Hey all,

Lots of good deals at sears.

10% off most anything in electronics including Xbox, PS2, and all games.

Also if you apply for a sears card you get 10% off, plus another 10% for the card making it 20% off electonics plus 0% financing on larger purchases with your sears card..

I work in Sears electronics and a person today got 20% off, plus a coupon from the paper to make 30% off and 0% financing on a Samsung widescreen TV.

The retail was $1099 and she got it around $830 with tax. Many great deals there today so thought I'd let you all know.

Sears.com For more info although you can get a bigger discount at B&M

Take your reciept back with the print out of the website and get the pricematch. He will credit you another 10%, and something extra for the inconvience if you ask for the manager that the guy didn't tell you about the sale.

Normally I give 15% back when this happens just to stop the customer from asking for the manager, and to keep you happy with the card because we get $2 for every app we get for a credit card. Again YMMV with the extra 15% off depending on if you have an ahole of an associate and if the department is doing the 10% with a new sears acct. ;)

Hope that helps :)

I haven't seen any newspapers around with these 10% off coupons in them :( With that, I could really take advantage of this :( Oh well...

I just bought a $300 exercise bike (with the $80 warranty) on Thursday and no one mentioned the upcoming sale. Is it Sears store policy to at least pricematch themselves (without the hassle of actually returning the product, etc), or is there a chance I might have to return this and buy it again? Either way, I'm getting that discount! :D

Thanks for the head's up!

edit: Yup, apparently there's a Price Match Policy, similar to Circuit City's. Being that I'm into day 2 of the 30 day policy, I think I'll be okay. I'm heading over during lunch! :)

The Sears sale is a scam... Tuesday, the 32" Toshiba TV I was thinking of buying from Sears (Sears Item #05742422000, Mfr. Model #32A32) was listed at $449.99 on sears.com (I didnt check wednesday, so I can't be sure what it was then). I was figuring that with the 10% off sale, I'd be able to get it for $404.99... but when I logged on yesterday, for the start of the "Customer Appreciation Sale," I found that the price before the 10% discount was changed to $479.99 and that with the discount, it's now $431.99.

Apparently, Sears' idea of 'customer appreciation' is jerking its customers around and playing with prices to avoid actually letting them save any money in their so-called 'sales.' I'd rather just pay the regular price of $449 for the same set at another retailer than give these scam artists the satisfaction of putting one over on me... just to save $12.

Seriously if you go into the B&M and complain about it they will give you the sale price, plus the 10% discount, plus the sears card if you get one. The people there are on commissions, and it is incredibly slow, so the managers and asst. managers will discount it with the price matching policy. Again, just make a fuss about it and they will discount you, or give you something for free like the DVD player. Especially if you still have a print out of it.

Again, YMMV depending on department.

I just got back from Sears after pricematching the aforementioned exercise bike. The PM went through painlessly, and I even got 110% of the difference (usually I have to remind people about the extra 10%). I'm a happy camper! :D

She should have pricematched to BB and could have gotten it for $100.00 dollars cheaper (BB has the set for 999.00) plus another 10%. Sears does do 110% pricematch dont they?

Be warned about the plasma's.

When we sell them you have to buy installation with them to keep the liability off of us. It was supposed to change in Feb. but I'm still told that every plasma we sell the buyer must buy the installation or else we can't sell it to you.

I thought applying new card will only get you $10 off the first purchase, not 10% off. I don't even work at Sears, and I think I am right on this one. Unless they changed the policy recently.

Now it is $10 since it is Sunday. 10% off TV's with sears card and select dept. however it is gone now.

Sears definately does do 110% price matching. I just purchased a KitchenAid slide-in convection range as follows:

Retail at Sears $1649
PM to local Guyers ($1275) -$375
10% of difference -37.50

So I found the lowest price in town, did a PM at Sears, got a $37.50 bump and the unconditional satiesfaction guarantee of Sears. Not bad . . .

BTW - the sale price at Sears was $1407. The sales guy wanted to do the 110% PM to that amount. I politely said I would wait until it was no longer on sale. He smelled a lost commission and graciously did the 110% PM to the $1650 retail price. Too funny.
