Why? Because every hardware site, review site, etc, has the option to "write your own reviews". So every site that comes up on Google isn't an actual review, but a page with the option to write your own "review". Also, consumer reviews can go to hell. You have to be a moron to trust people who bought a product.

dpeends what you're looking for. if you want camera reviews there are numerous sites that give good professional reviews, with links to what the normal asswipe user thinks.

Uhh, a lot of times it's better for someone who's bought something and used it for an extended period of time to write a review... moreso than someone who's just used it for a week and wrote their review quick to get to the next product to review.

Actually searching has become a chore these days, the first few pages are just advertisements or false links to other search engines.

People who bought it are biased, one way or the other, because they bought it. They also can't compare to other products.

I hear ya. 9 times out of 10 there aren't even any actual customer reviews, just the option. Bah!

Uh, no. Google slipped about 9 months ago. Google has not fallen on its ass and broken its hip. If you really want to know how many problems Google is having, go read webmaster forums.

No, webmasters are complaining because many, man sites are having this problem. Thousands upon thousands of pages for many sites are not indexed correctly. Furthermore, Google seems to be randomly penalizing some sites.
