Searching for files with W2k....

Triumph

Lifer
So I just installed W2K, and I tried to do a simple search for a file. The Windows Installer comes up and says, "The feature you are trying to use is not available. It's on the Office 2000 CD!" What the hell?? Why do I need to install something from Office to use the Windows search feature? Now when I installed Office 2k, I chose not to install the Find Fast, since that thing was absolute garbage in Office 97. Still, W2K should have it's own search features, so what gives?

What happens is that the Office team should be shot. Like you, when I install something, dammit, I want it installed!

In my opinion, very very bad design and implementation by the Office team. And I have no idea if/why/how they're hooking the find feature of the OS.
