Searching for a RTS game that is not a clickfest but populated online

I'm reading the Gamespot review of it and it looks like it gets pretty dang good scores. It appears it can be tough to get into with a steep learning curve, but it sounds like it brings some new things to the table and is pretty historically accurate. I might have to check this out at some point.

The campaign is mostly forgettable and I only went through about half of it for practice. It is tougher than your average RTS but once you get the hang of it it is a lot of fun. The multiplayer is where it is at and it is a ton of fun. I thought Company of Heroes was my favorite RTS for multiplayer until I played this.

You could try Star Wars: Empire at War, its a pretty neat RTS but I'm not sure about the community... (never played online)
