searching for a nice qwerty txt phone. pls help!

i just want a nice super skinny/lightweight phone for talk and txt.

this is the best thing i found

however, quality is terrible. since using it, 5 months now, some of the keys are not responding..."space" and "end call"

i want a smartphone but my company wont pay for the forced data plan from AT&T. otherwise, i woulda gotten a samsung gs3.
i would love to use my old Blackberry but again...data plan is required.

any suggestion?

You could get a slider, I had one before my OG Droid. Sliders necessarily make the phone a little thicker but it was nice to type on.

i finally settled on this Motorola ex223. it arrived today thanks to Amazon Prime!
so far loving it!
so light. so thin. so small. even has touchscreen to choose options from menu.
the kb feels great! almost like an old blackberry i have.
it looks great too. not cheap light those Pantech.
