Searching for a "brush strip" - kind of like weather stripping, but a bristled strip instead of foam.

It's the sort of stuff you might see lining the glass and metal doors of a business, it's a strip, but it's like one long brush. Is this something that can be bought at a regular hardware store? I found some matches at Google, but most of them seem geared towards large-volume sales, or else are just complimenting themselves on how great their products are. Several are also based in Britain or Australia - I'd kind of prefer something more local. :)

I'd need a brush strip that's only about 3/16" wide (5/32" would probably be better), around 1/4" total thickness - and the possible tough part, adhesive backing.

Relevant link - these don't look like they're adhesive-backed, and the site doesn't seem to do direct sales.

Artificial bristles/horsehair/horsehair substitute would be best.

Hardware stores should have what you are looking for. I bought a bunch at Home Depot a few years ago.
