Search won't work in Windows ME. Why not?

Using Search in WinME (formerly Find), nothing happens. Enter search criteria, press the button. No results displayed. When looking on the floppy drive, the drive light comes on, but no results there, either.

Very odd. What's going on?
 
Update

Here's the solution, and it is related to tweakui: In the Desktop tab, enable "Search Results".
