Search messages last 90 days only returns last 39 days

I just searched on "Nimda" in all forums, last 90 days, and got around a dozen hits but they only go back to Oct. 15th. There was a thread I was subscribed to, subject "Nimda, got on my system 2 hours after win2k server install!!!" dated Sept. 27th, but can't find it now.

Obviously, there are many other posts with "Nimda" in them from before Oct. 15, 2001.

Please advise and fix the search engine. Thanks.

A search on 'nimda' on archived thraeds goes back before 10/15 but still doesn't turn up a thread with the title you indicated, I think it must be gone.

You can still read the archived threads, if you choose that option in search, but for some reason I don't see the one you're looking for.

Anyone remember the date of that major crash of the forums when the system had be restored from backups? Perhaps not everything did indeed get restored? 😕

Aha! First I've heard of this. Well, when things run as "expected" are the archives kept indefinitely? I'd really like to know because a lot of threads have info that I'm really interested in having access to. I'm aware that I can print threads and also copy and paste *printable* threads in a file or database, which I have done. Thanks.

Here's proof I'm not "making this up" or boo-booing the subject:
